1. Our Inclusive Civic Mission

Civic Youth Bangladesh (CYB) is committed to digital equity and ensuring our civic engagement platform is accessible to all young citizens across Bangladesh, regardless of physical ability, visual impairment, or technological constraints.

2. Conformance Standards

We strive to align our digital interfaces with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2 Level AA). Key measures implemented across our site include:

• Semantic Structure: Logical heading hierarchies (<h1> through <h3>) and descriptive ARIA landmarks.
• Keyboard Navigation: Full access to all links, buttons, modals, and forms using standard Tab and Enter keys, complete with high-visibility focus indicators.
• Color Contrast: Compliant contrast ratios exceeding 4.5:1 for body copy and 3:1 for large display headings across both light and dark themes.
• Alternative Text: Meaningful alt descriptions for all informational images, infographics, and partner logos.
• Reduced Motion: Respect for prefers-reduced-motion settings, disabling background video loops and heavy transitions for motion-sensitive users.
• Bilingual Screen Reading: Proper lang="en" and lang="bn" attributes to support screen readers in both English and Bangla.

3. Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing journey. We regularly audit interactive forms, color palettes, and mobile touch targets to identify and resolve usability barriers.
